A GUIDE FOR PARENTS AND CARERS HOW TO USE AN INTERPRETER
TO CONTACT YOUR SCHOOL

This free* interpreting service is available for parents and carers to communicate key information about their child’s education. This service is available Monday to Friday, between 8:30am and 6:00pm.

The telephone numbers and languages listed below are designed for parents and carers to call a school.

Step 1. Have the phone number of the school ready to give to the interpreter.

Step 2. Find your language in the list below.

Step 3. Use the phone number for your language to connect with an interpreter.

Step 4. Tell the interpreter the name and phone number of the school.

Step 5. The interpreter will call the number you have provided and connect you with the school.

Step 6. The interpreter will stay on the call and interpret until you're finished
